Current Prompt We’re Reflecting On (April’s New Moon)
What is over, and what is beginning?
Optional practices:
Take some time to reflect, in contemplation or with cards, what might be on it’s way out within your inner experience and within your life (making space for the new), and what might be calling you forward (what’s next and what is it you are becoming). You can pull insight cards for any aspect of this that you need clarification on. In session we explored this spatially, using the cards in the space around us to offer the body a chance to feel into and to calibrate and move toward/away with intention.
2. Take a few minutes, up to as long as you want, to do nothing (set a timer if you need) — become curious about what there might be to feel that you haven’t made/had time to feel. You can play some music to help hold the space.
Prompts from April’s Full Moon
What is being to you?
What is your current relationship to your being?
If you check in in this moment, what is the quality of your being right now?
Where or when in your life do you feel most connected to your being?
Optional practices:
Start making a list of what practices cultivate your being, thinks like: pockets of rest, moving slow, daydreaming, taking a walk, listening to music, reading poetry, looking at art, coloring/doodling, sitting in silence, reading, bathing. Use the list you make as a reference and when you want to cultivate more being in your day, pick one that feels accessible and boundary some time for it.
2. Take a few minutes, up to as long as you want, to do nothing (set a timer if you need) — be curious about the way that just being happens for you in this moment and notice what you are aware of as you are there. Write it down if you like.
3. For insight and further contemplation, you can draw a tarot/oracle spread:
(1) what stabilizes/anchors your being
(2) what gets in the way/interferes with your being
(3) your spot of growth/new potential around being
4. Keep exploring through movement or stillness the gestures that came to you from session on 4/12 — allow your body speak with them and notice your experience of how they feel. If they are a resource, use them as such. If they are uncomfortable, breathe through and with them as you make or move the gesture(s) and be open to insights to emerge as you embody them.
About Being Space
Interested in having gentle space where you can set everything down for a while?
Maybe you need to take more time to listen to your own inner world; to notice the sensations that have been with you, to feel and witness the things that your body has been holding as you’ve been living your life.
Maybe you’re looking to share that kind of sincere space with others, to have an opportunity to resonate with common threads that are alive between us.
And maybe it would feel wonderful to have that kind of time and space without the requirement to DO stuff, because you already have enough on your plate that you are responsible for and that requires you to be productive.
I introduce you to, and warmly invite you to …🍃 Being Space.A virtual place to meet and to *be*, with spacious facilitation and ongoing permission to trust your inner knowing.
We meet online (for now), in a live gathering (not recorded) where we will have the chance to drop in, open, listen, and feel. We’ll offer our bodies, nervous systems, and minds the time to unwind, reconfigure, and settle into a greater sense of wholeness and a deeper sense of youness.
Our gatherings are held in rhythm with the cycles of the moon, steering clear of the solar calendar and patterns of our productive life. After each session, you will receive written prompts and suggestions for in-between practices based on what emerged in the group.
Tools we may use:
- Gentle movement
(focused on energy)
- Group reflections
- Constellation
(a modality that looks at our relationship to/with and the impact)
- Self-inquiry
(through stillness, drawing, writing, moving, or speaking)
- Contemplation with cards
(any and all tarot/oracle decks welcome)
- Slow exploration of gesture and breathing
- Rituals
(for release, change & setting new intentions)
